IF YOU:

and
Are currently enrolled in CHEM 101 or CHEM 102 or BIOL 141 or BIOL 142,
or
Are enrolled in the prerequisites to prepare for future enrollment in these courses (e.g., MATH 106)

…you should attend a First-Year Pre-Health Group Advising meeting!

This group advising session is for students who are taking any of the first year professional school prerequisite courses (such as BIOL 141 or 142 or CHEM 101 or 102) regardless of year status at UMBC (freshman, sophomore, junior, senior). In this session we will review the elements of holistic preparation for health professional school for medicine, dentistry, podiatry, optometry, and veterinary medicine. Topics include prerequisite courses for professional school, volunteer service, clinical experience, research, and leadership. The format of the session will be a presentation followed by Q&A as time allows.

Between now and the meeting, students should familiarize themselves with  the information on the office’s website. All students taking the first year of prerequisites for medical, dental, optometry, or veterinary school  are encouraged to attend.
